Carolina that we have heard of, Shallotte, North Carolina may not be one of
them. Unlike major, well known cities like Charlotte or Raleigh North Carolina,
the small town of Shallotte has about four thousand people. It is a part of
Brunswick county and has a river called The Shallotte River, that passes
through the town. The town's population seems to equally divided with fifty
percent men and women. The town is also divided by race as with about sixty
eight percent white,, thirteen percent Hispanic, 9 percent African American, 3
percent Asian, 0.9 percent American Indian and 0.1 native Hawaiian and other
islander populations.
History of Shallotte, North Carolina
A settlement in Shallotte, North Caroline
dates back to 1750. A post office was then established in 1837. There is a main
road that was been built from Shallotte and Wilmington North Carolina for
residents who live in Shallotte but work in Wilmington. The town was
incorporated on March 6, 1999 and is located within the eastern time
zone.

Shallotte, North Carolina is the home for
some great elementary, middle and high schools. It offers top notch private
schools like Southeastern Christian Academy that teaches kindergarten through
eighth grades and West Christian Academy offering education for Kindergarten
through twelfth grades., There are also public schools that include: West
Brunswick high , Evelyn Smith Way Village school, Union elementary, Shallotte
middle, and St Luke Lutheran church

The median family income per household is
about forty one thousand. The median income for family is just over fifty two
thousand. When you break income demographics into male and female, it becomes
clear that males have a median income of thirty six thousand with females
income being thirty thousand dollars.

WVCB 1410 AM and on television station W47CK or channel 47. The mayor is
currently Walter Ecard. So the next time you are planning a summer or family

your list. It is a diamond in the rough with its many different activities to
do. There is something for everyone in Shallotte, North Carolina , which makes
